Machine Cycle of Operations – Semi-Automatic Filler System

Step One – Operator loads squeeze tube into rack of TP- 30, tube opening oriented up, cap facing down.

Step Two – Operator inserts rack onto feeder track.

Step Three – Operator pushes dual start buttons.

Step Three – Feeder track advances rack, tube stops when sensor detects tube.  System sends signal which activates pump. Note: (Pump is supplied by customer)

Step Four – Pump dispenses material per its preset program.

Step Five – Rack automatically advances to the next squeeze tube, process is repeated.

Step Six – (Optional) When last tube is filled, rack is optionally transferred to heat sealer.

Step Seven – (Optional) Heat sealer is triggered, heat seal cycle commences.

 

Production Rate

The approximate rate for the Semi-Automatic Filler System to advance from one tube to another tube is a 2 to 4 seconds, depending on tube size. Total time for filling a rack is based on time to fill a tube, the number of tubes per rack, and the spacing between tubes.

 

Options to expand the conveyor systems to increase automation

 

• Input staging This allows operator to load one full rack on the machine, as machine runs, allowing operator time to remove filled rack from other side of machine. Approximately 2 ft long.   

• Conveyor System to transfer rack automatically from staging area for empty rack, to heat sealer and to holding station. Conveyor is 12 ft long.  

• Return Conveyor System When used in combination with Heat Sealer/Filler integration, the system will take the sealed rack, and return it to the operator. Induces the necessary transfer system to return rack to operator. PLC controlled, variable speed.

• Stand for System Includes locking casters, welded steel frame AMT white, all components mounted. Complete system 12 ft. long, 28 inches wide.

Modular approach for semi-automatic filling of plastic squeeze tubes

Semi-automatic Squeeze Tube Filler System  is a modular conveyor system for filling squeeze tubes. It is designed to move a rack that is designed for the TP- 30.  A sensor will locate a squeeze tube and send a signal to a pump to fill the tube. When the tube is filled, the rack will be advanced to the next tube.  

Interchangeable racks can be feed through tube heat sealer - sealing one rack of plastic tubes while semi-automatically filling the other rack of plastic squeeze tubes. Return conveyor will return rack to operator.
